1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the website of Puzzled Comfort HVAC (https://puzzledcomforthvac.info) or placing telephone calls to our service dispatch desk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable federal, state, and local New Hampshire laws and municipal building codes. If you do not accept these terms, you should discontinue using this website.

2. Service Requests & Diagnostic Evaluations

All appointments for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and heat pump repairs or installations scheduled through our dispatch desk are subject to on-site physical evaluation:

• On-Site Diagnostic Assessment: Telephone consultations provide preliminary estimates based upon customer-described symptoms. Binding repair quotes are delivered on-site in writing following physical inspection by an HVAC technician.
• Written Authorization: No mechanical repairs, component replacements, or refrigerant charging will take place without the property owner’s or authorized agent’s explicit written or verbal authorization.
• Safe Worksite Access: Customers agree to provide clear, safe, and unobstructed access to heating equipment, oil tanks, gas shutoff valves, breaker panels, thermostats, and indoor/outdoor condenser units.

3. Emergency Response & Severe Weather Conditions

During extreme New Hampshire cold snaps, blizzards, ice storms, and nor’easters, emergency heating calls involving vulnerable residents, total heating loss, or imminent pipe-freezing risk are prioritized. While we strive to meet all estimated arrival windows, severe road conditions, highway closures, or utility power outages may affect dispatch transit times.

4. Life-Safety & Hazardous Conditions

Our technicians operate in strict accordance with national mechanical codes, NFPA guidelines, and New Hampshire state fire safety standards:

• Carbon Monoxide & Heat Exchanger Cracks: If an inspection reveals a cracked heat exchanger or hazardous carbon monoxide discharge exceeding safety thresholds, the technician is legally obligated to tag and lock out the equipment to prevent asphyxiation or fire hazards.
• Combustible Fuel Leaks: If unignited fuel oil accumulation or active natural gas / propane leaks are detected, emergency shutoffs will be engaged immediately, and the appropriate local utility or emergency fire services may be alerted if immediate explosive risk exists.

5. Pricing, Estimates & Invoicing

Pricing for HVAC diagnostic services, seasonal tune-ups, equipment repairs, and system replacements is presented transparently prior to initiating work. Invoices are payable upon completion of service unless alternative commercial terms or financing arrangements have been approved in advance.

6. Manufacturer Warranties & NHSaves Rebates

New equipment installations (including furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps) are covered by respective manufacturer parts warranties. Labor warranties are detailed in your specific installation agreement. Rebate amounts from utility programs (such as NHSaves) are administered by third-party utility sponsors; eligibility is determined by the utility program guidelines and active funding pools.

7. Intellectual Property & Website Use

All content on this website, including diagnostic troubleshooting guides, service descriptions, regional heating analysis, graphics, and logos, is the property of Puzzled Comfort HVAC and is protected under United States copyright laws. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our written content without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Puzzled Comfort HVAC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from pre-existing system defects, deferred maintenance, utility power grid outages, frozen plumbing lines prior to technician arrival, or unauthorized customer alterations to heating equipment.
